Just wanted to give 2 huge thumbs up to Travis at KC Autosound!!!!!! I installed a Code Alarm CA680 this past weekend in my 2005 Ford F150 XLT using a prewired unit I purchased from him. With his help everything went smoothly and couldn't be happier!! Travis called me personally within 2 hrs of me sending off that email, and he helped me choose a system that would work well with my truck and get me what i wanted out of a remote starter system. I originally wanted a CA630 but he helped me choose a different system becuase the 630 would not work with the factory keypad in my door. I was hesitant at first because although i have a fair amount of experience with car mechanical systems and car audio, remote starters and security systems are a black art. I was afraid i'd cut through the wrong wires, but with Travis' instructions (with great pictures too btw) and prewired unit, I installed the system like a pro! (almost, just a lot slower!) All together it took me about 8 hrs to install (I spent time testing each wire, temporarily taped everything together, and once I verified it all worked I soldered everything) and that includes an hour break for lunch :-) Of course I found out that all his wiring instructions and colors and where to find the wires were dead on... I cant say enough good things about the customer service during the installation as well... I ran into a snag with programming the bypass module, and I called Travis on a Sunday afternoon (probably his only day off during the week!) and he walked me through the process. The system works great, awesome range and love the remote starter system. It has the LCD display with confirming text, so i know without looking outside to know if the truck is started, system armed/disarmed, and interior temperature. Love this system!!! All in all I can say that if you have the ability to put in an aftermarket car stereo head unit, then you have the ability to install a system prewired by Travis. Even after my system was installed, I emailed him about the possibility of putting in a starter in my father in laws' Pontiac, and he's helping me to choose a system for him too! He's a helluva nice guy too on top of being super knowledgeable, and I cant wait to purchase and install another system from him!!! Keep up the great work! Phi from CT 2005 Ford F150 XLT

I purchased two Code Alarm CA 550 Elite Series Remote Starter/Alarm/Keyless Entry #364. One for my 2007 Ford F-150 SuperCrew and my wife's 2005 Mercury Mountaineer. I also purchased the DB Drive PT5.2 Platinum Series 5.25" Component Speaker System #103 for my SuperCrew. The order took long to come in but Travis kept me updated with the order so I did not mind the wait. I have yet to install the alarm system on the Mountaineer but I did install the system on my SuperCrew. It took me long to install because I was real nervous after seeing all the wires. I have never installed anything that consisted of tapping into the existing wires before. So for me to install the alarm was a great accomplishment. Travis's instruction/pictures were perfect and easy to follow. The best part was that Travis was a phone call away when I needed him. I called him 4 or 5 times but most of the calls were to confirm that I was doing it right. He even stepped me through the programming. To sum it all up. CUSTOMER SERVICE, KNOWLEDGE & HONESTY! I purchased a CA-530 and the instructions from Travis were excellent! I had a question about the bypass module and called late on Saturday afternnon and Travis picked up the phone and HELPED me out.
